The Luzerne and Susquehanna Railway Company (LSX) actively develops economically sound commerce and industry along the railline. LSX works with the Redevelopment Authority of Luzerne County to promote, develop, encourage and assist in acquiring, construction, maintaining, equipping and furnishing certain types of projects and facilities, to advance the job opportunities, health, general prosperity, economic welfare and recreation opportunities of the citizens of Luzerne County. Contact Mr. Jim Raffa, VP of Sales and Marketting at (607) 972-1896 or the Redevelopment Authority of Luzerne County at (570) 655-3329 for more information.

It is not always feasible for a customer to have a rail siding at their work site. In these cases, the freight must be transloaded from rail to truck for transport to the end destination.  LSX offers a full range of transloading services using either our in-house personnel and equipment or a transload service sub-contractor.
